What? The Tohoku shinkansen is up again? That's a relief.
I'm going to Japan this summer, but again, I was unsure whether Sendai would be okay by summer. I really want to see my fiance.

According to the JR East website, the Tohoku Shinkansen is only operating as far north as Nasushiobara station. This was dated 3/15, and that's the latest info I see.

Ah yes. True.
Local transportation IS getting a start. My fiance says he's able to get to work via the subway in Sendai City. Hopefully things will be okay this summer.
