Hi,
We have 2 airtickets to Tokyo only. Since we have been there, we are thinking of proceeding to visit Hokkaido. What are the options of getting there and can you please give us the costs too. By train, domestic flights (which will cost alot) or even driving ? Perhaps will take many hours? Please advise. We plan to go end of September this year.
Thank you very much

If you book in advance and choose the right airline you should be able to fly there for around 10,000yen each way (per person) from Haneda. This Japan-guide page is useful:- http://www.japan-guide.com/e/e2365.htmlDepending on how long you are there for you may wish to consider a 7-day JR Pass. It is roughly six hours one way by trains from Tokyo station (plus an extra hour from Narita) and fully covered using the JR pass. We enjoyed our time in Hakodate, the morning market is worth a visit too! Enjoy your trip!
