Takao: Jingo-ji light up on a day trip?

Hello,
My plan is to visit Jingo-ji light up in Takao on a day trip from Kyoto. I read that the last bus from Takao to Kyoto leaves at 19:58. Is this right? (It was in Japanese and my Japanese is really awful).
If this is right, is it worth it to go to the light up on a day trip?

The light up ends at 8pm. So there is little reason to stay beyond 8pm. It starts as early as 5pm (sunset is early during November).
But just for the records, the last Kyoto City bus back into Kyoto leaves Takao at 21:43. And the last JR Bus at 20:00.
