Best Way to Get to Owakudani

I live in Ayase-shi and have friends coming to visit. We would like to go to Owakudani during a weekday. What is the best way to get there from Sagamiotsuka Station and are the Black Eggs available during the weekdays? Thanks in advance for any help!!

By Sotetsu and Odakyu via Ebina to Hakone-Yumoto from where you can take a direct Izuhakone bus (not covered by the Hakone Free Pass) or the train, cablecar and ropeway (covered by the Hakone Free Pass).
