You mean Gifu station?
In any case, you'll travel from Tokyo station on Shinkansen to Nagoya, then change to Tokaido Honsen bound for Maibara or Ogaki, and that will get you to Gifu station.
Whether you'd be better off with any rail pass or not depends on the rest of your itinerary.
