Hello!
I am considering going to Kairakuen for the plum blossom festival... has it already started?
Does anyone know of website/s with a live camera or some status updates of the plum blossoms there? Japanese is ok...
If I go around end of Feb, will I be able to find a lot of blossoms already? I am considering if the 2-3 hour travel is worth what I will find there, considering it is still quite early... and wintery cold :)

I am considering going to Kairakuen for the plum blossom festival... has it already started?The festival has started, but the blossoms are delayed. I believe that not many trees have started to open their blossoms yet. There are some current photos on the official website under 梅の開花情報: http://www.koen.pref.ibaraki.jp/park/kairakuen01.html
