What ryokan in Kurokawa will accommodate a single person?

It is difficult to find a solo stay. You might consider day onsen soaking there. If you stay in Yufuin during weekdays, I can recommend a reasonably priced ryokan with free time reserved outdoor onsens with beautuful view & free bf which takes a solo traveler during weekdays.

japaneseguesthouses.com has listings that say they take single guests....I don't know from personal experience....however, I found an inn on jalan.net that takes single guests in Yufuin....

Sanga Ryokan accepts single guests - I've been there twice and it's amazing... It is my small spot of paradise in Japan...

Yup, Sanga Ryokan is your best bet:

The only slight downside is that it is slightly outside the main town, but if they're not busy they will shuttle you into the town so you can go onsen hopping.
