Shirakawago & Hida Folk Village 2012/3/26 09:31
Will be spending 3 days from Tokyo to Takayama,Shirakawago & Kanazawa and return to Tokyo.
There may be a time constraint, so should I visit both attractions Shirakawago & Hida Folk Village at Takayama or just choose one of them.
If so, which one is a better attraction.

I think they are both great places and worth to visit, but if you really had to choose one, I guess Shirakawago is the pick cos' it's a Unesco World Heritage site.

Tks for the feedback.
How much time should I allow for each attraction?

I think four hours in Shirakawago is fine. You could do it in slightly less if you wish.

Four hours was enough for us to see the Open Air Museum Village, we basically went inside every house here and spent a lot of time here. Then walk through the town, and go inside one of the houses. Then walk up the hill to the lookout. Then walk down the hill back through town and across the bridge to the bus stop.

Enjoy your trip!
