Ski spots in late October? 2012/3/29 00:24
Hi,

Are there any ski places open in late oct. I'm planning to do a 3 week trip in oct and back in Singapore by 5th nov. My traveling companion have never seen or touch snow before so I would like to squeeze in a skiing trip if possible. But I'm unsure if there's any open in late oct. Can anyone help with this?

We will be traveling to Tokyo, Kyoto and Hokkaido. Ski resorts around this regions would be best. But we wouldn't mind traveling outside a bit.

Thanks in advance. :)

The only place that is open in October is Snow Town Yeti at the foot of Mount Fuji. It's a tiny resort with only a few lifts and artificial snow, but its pretty good for beginners. I'm not sure if the buses run that early in the season (the earliest I see starts on Oct 30), so you may have to go by taxi or rental car.
