Hakodate Day Trip

Can anyone tell me the nearest tram stop to the international cruise terminal? We are in for a day (early June) and are thinking of getting a tram pass and doing the star fort, Mt Hakodate cablecar and the Jiyu market. Is there anything else you would recommend?

What order would be best to do these in and would it be best to call into the tourist information centre at the Railway Station first for maps, etc. The tram map on the web is only available in Japanese.

Google Maps show stops in English. Ship docks on west side of city near JR train station. English maps and help at Tourist Office at station. Start there. Hakodate Ekimae stop near station. Jiyu 1/2 mile from station. 2 mi. past Jiyu is star tower. Then walk around area at base of mountain for sights. Finish with night view from mountain top.

Thanks for that. We will head straight from the ship to the station and pick up the day tram pass and English maps.
