We are travelling to Japan on June 9th till June 11th with our girl, 4 half years and would like to get input on whether is it advisable to obtain the 7 day rail pass to get from OSAKA to KYOTO and from KYOTO to TOKYO? or is there a better option? We are landing in Osaka and will be departing to Tokyo.

1. JR Pass never pays off.
2. You only have 3 days in Japan and have no time to see 3 cities. You need to choose up to 2 cities.
3. Your girl does not need to pay transportation expense(train) as she is under 6 years old.
4. The cheapest way should be KIX - (train) - Kyoto - (night bus) - Tokyo - (train) - Tokyo Airport, NRT or HND.
