Private Onsen in Kurokawa? 2012/6/18 18:12
Hi,

My partner and I are travelling to Kyushu in November, and will be stopping in Kurokawa Onsen.

We would love to try a traditional onsen bath experience. However we both have tattoos (mine are quite extensive Japanese style). So we would like to find a nice traditional Ryokan were we can have a private bath.

Can anyone recommend somewhere? We'd love something traditional, maybe even with an outside bath? Thank you!

Private in-room is expensive and small. You might consider Kashikiri private time reserved roten outdoor onsens. There are too many to list and google translate is not much use. If you can read Japanese, try:

For example, the first on the list is Ikoi Ryokan which has 4 Kashikiri baths w/o extra charges.
Another is Sanga Ryokan: Has English
