Holiday Inn or Days in in Japan? 2012/8/4 15:36
For a future trip to Japan, preferably Tokyo or Osaka, what are the usual going rates for a place that is the equivalent to a Holiday Inn or a Days Inn here in the U.S.?

Holiday Inn and Days Inn are motels in US, aren't they? If so, there are no equivalent motels in Japan.

In urban area of Japan, transport is mainly handled by public transportation such as subway and urban train. Most hotels are located within walking distance from the train station and people get around by train. They usually have parking lots but charge very high rate.

Business hotels are similar and will run between 5000-10000 yen depending on room and hotel location.
