Which railpass for a 6 day intinerary 2012/8/6 08:05
Hi!
I will be in tokyo for 6 days from 6-11 september. Unfortunately I am not sure which railpass I should buy.I will arrive and leave from Narita Airport and would like to visit Nikko. The rest of the time I will stay in the central area of tokyo.

Do you have any suggestions ?

Thanks in advance

I would consider the Suica+NEX for your airport travel, and one of the Tobu Nikko free passes to get to Nikko.

If you are staying only in and around Tokyo, you do not need any major rail pass. You can buy NEX & Suica package for your travel to/from Narita to Tokyo and also for local transport within TOkyo (Suica is a convenient prepaid card), and Tobu Nikko Pass for your trip to Nikko. That's all you need. Even for the travel to/from Narita, depending on where in Tokyo you plan to stay, there are other less expensive alternatives (such as Keisei Railway) as well.
