Sendai subway system 2012/10/2 09:19
What time does the north -south subway line in Sendai open and close? ie. What time is the first and last train?

In general you can look this up on Hyperdia:-
http://www.hyperdia.com/

Just pick the two stations you are looking at and do a search. Once the results are displayed click "Interval timetable" below the train and it will show you all trains on that day.

Here's a direct link which should work
http://www.hyperdia.com/cgi/en/intervaltime.html?dep_node=SENDAI%28MIY...

In general start 5:50am or so, finish around midnight.

Enjoy your trip!

On the following Sendai subway route map (the upper section) you can click on different stations for a look at the running schedule. Note that the subway in Sendai is not of too much use for tourists/visitors. We had been to Sendai a couple of times and the only time we took the subway was to go to the Tomizawa Site Museum.
