Irregular trains between Osaka & Ueno-shi? 2012/10/15 17:40
Hi,

Am planning a day trip out from Osaka to the Ninja museum and Ueno Castle in Iga Ueno was told the train services between these two places are limited and very irregular and not reliable (in terms of timing and frequency) is this true or I might just forget about this side trip?

Thanks in advance.

Who told you that they were unreliable?

Access is explained here:-

Obviously the trains don't arrive every two minutes like they do on the Yamanote line in Tokyo so you should be conscious of timing but if you plan using Hyperdia you should be fine.

Enjoy your trip!

The train is not very frequent, because its very rutal area there, but as punctual as other trains in Japan.

Otherwise, the students, who has no other transportation, would be late for school and club activity.
