Skytree booking and waiting times xmas/ny

Hi everyone.
How are the waiting times these days for going to the Skytree observation decks, and how are they likely to be over xmas and New Years?
We will be in Tokyo from 31-Dec to 7-Jan.
You can pretty-book online, but only in Japanese and with a Japan issued credit card.
I remember trying to go to Tokyo Tower only a few years ago around this time, and it was so packed with tour buses and groups, that we gave up.
I have to think this new tower will be more packed than that. Anyone got any suggestions for dates or times that will be better than others during this period.
