We will be staying at Osaka Station Granvia Hotel. Need advice on how to get to Nara. Which train to take and how much does it cost? Thanks.

The one way requires about 50 to 65 minutes. The fare is 780 yen.
Direct trains for Nara or Kamo depart from Track 1 of Osaka Station. Please make sure not to take a train for Sakurajima at Track 1. When a direct train is not departing soon, for example around 08:30 on a weekday, alternatively you can take a train on Osaka Loop Line's inner loop then make a transfer at the same platform in Shin-Imamiya Station to a train for Nara or Kamo.
Osaka: Track 1 --[Section Rapid / Yamatoji Rapid for Nara or Kamo]-- Nara; or Osaka: Track 1 --[Airport Rapid / Local on Osaka Loop Line's inner loop]-- Track 1: Shin-Imamiya: Track 2 --[Section Rapid / Yamatoji Rapid for Nara or Kamo]-- Nara.
Hotel Granvia Osaka is located close to Central Gate of Osaka Station. From near Central Gate you will go upstairs via the mezzanine floor (M2F) to the platform for Track 1 on the 2nd floor (2F); I suppose escalators are available on the way.
