National holiday - november? 2012/11/12 22:13
Hi,

I'm in Japan right now and heard about national holiday 23rd of november. Googled it and saw it's true.

Will all shops be closed? What about tourist attractions?

I'm in Tokyo at that time.

Good to know so i can plan my trip :-)

Will all shops be closed?

Some public facilities which are usually closed on Sundays, such as clinics, may be closed all these 3 days (23 - 25 November 2012).
Different from New Year season, many shops are open on Labor Thanksgiving Day.
It depends on shops, but I suppose shops which are usually open on Sundays, for example those of department stores, of supermarkets and of major convenience store chains, are open these 3 days.

What about tourist attractions?

Some popular tourist attractions may be crowded is such an expanded weekend like these 3 days.

Of course "is" should have been spelled "in."
