Tokyo Skytree Waiting Time

I will be in Tokyo between 4-9 Dec and my friend plan to go to skytree on weekend maybe Sat.
How long does it should take if we plan to go for day ticket on normal weekend? If it took too long, maybe I will ask friend there to look for online ticket or rearrange the plan.

It depends on the time of the day, but I would expect about 3-6 hours waiting time. But you don't have to wait in line. You can explore the Solamachi or nearby Asakusa in the meantime before returning during your assigned 30-minute time slot.
