Hi,
I'm getting married soon and me any my newly wed wife would love to visit Japan for our honeymoon in August 2013.
I'm totally new to North-Pacific and I got very little idea about that region. Can you please kindly suggest us some romantic places and activities to visit and do so that our honeymoon is memorable and romantic.
Please suggest.
Thank you, Srujan.

August can be very hot, but there are many exciting festivals and the gardens and nature are all quite pristine and beautiful.
Although Tokyo is popular, a lot of the best festivals are outside the Kanto area.
Some August Festivals and Ceremonies that I know of: -Hiroshima: Memorial Ceremony (Aug. 6) -Okayama: Korakuen Garden night light-up and Momotaro Festival (early August) -Tokushima: Awa Odori (Aug. 12-15) -Kochi: Yosakoi Festival (Aug. 9-12) -Uwajima: Bull Sumo (Aug. 14) -Kyoto: Daimonji-yaki Festival (Aug. 16) -Aomori: Nebuta Matsuri (Aug. 2-7)

In August Japanese people tend to avoid hot town area such as Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka, so that you might be able to find affordable lodging in nice hotels. Or you might want to go where locals go: Hokkaido, beach resorts in Okinawa or mountain area in Nagano prefecture. Anyway, as GC3 states, what dates in August? In general tourist spots are less crowded after 15th August.
Enjoy your honeymoon in Japan!

Thank you everyone. It is so generous of you to help me in this. We are planning to visit Japan on 3rd of August and return on 12th August. Is this good time for us to visit Japan? Or should we change our schedule? Please suggest.
