I am planning a half day trip from osaka to okayama. What is the best way to travel from osaka to okayama ?

Feel free to post the rest of your itinerary including dates, and which airport you fly in and out of if you want advice on which pass will suit you best.
For just the above I'd get a JR West Kansai Wide Area Pass.
