Is it possible to go from Tokyo to see Mt.Fuji, then to Osaka aquarium and then back to Tokyo the same day, all by train?
What is the best way to do this? how much would it cost? My travel time is December 20, 2012

It depends on how close you want to go to Mount Fuji. The shinkasen between Tokyo and Osaka passes by Mount Fuji very closely, and when visibility is good, you can see it beautifully from the train from a close distance for a short time. If that is enough for you, you can easily also go to the Osaka Aquarium. It takes about 3.5 hours one way to travel between Tokyo and the Osaka Aquarium by shinkansen. As Uji-san commented, if you are OK with viewing Mt. Fuji for a few minutes, just take the shinkansen train. If you intend to get a better view (i.e. Fuji 5 Lakes and vicinity) you will need another day.
