From Tokyo to Kyoto to view Sakura

Will be in Tokyo from 7 to 20 April 2013 and the main reason I visit Japan is to visit the beautiful Sakura. During the 2 weeks in Tokyo hope to visit Kyoto (2 Adults)to view the Sakura there.Please advice how to go there probably stay 1 night in Kyoto.How much to spend on travelling and Hotel.Prefer Budget travel.Please advice.

If that's the case I would spend more time in Kansai (Kyoto/Osaka/Nara/Yoshino)

How much to spend on travelling and Hotel.

If you want cheap consider overnight bus, or fly with someone like Jetstar Japan.

If you wish to stay try and stay during the week to improve availability of budget accommodation.
