Travel, Takayama to Matsumoto

We are planning on taking the Nohi bus on April 15, 12:10 from Takayama to Matsumoto. Ia there a way to reserve seats and secure places on this bus, either prior to our arrival to Japan, or after arrival to Japan? Thanks, Amir

You don't need to reserve - unless it's a Japanese public holiday, the buses are rarely full. Honestly, I think there were two other people on the bus when I travelled from Matsumoto to Takayama.
And the Takayama bus station is right next to the train station and is very small - you can't miss it.
Don't worry!
Also please note that you need to buy Nohi bus tickets in CASH - they do not accept credit card.
