Coke 2008/10/15 04:57
Coke tastes different in Japan because they use still use sugar (beet and cane). North American Coke is made with corn fructose.

Remember New Coke? That was introduced to get people used to corn fructose. Then they brought back Coke Classic but used corn fructose instead of sugar. Never tasted the same to me no matter what anyone said, and I used to drink Coke for breakfast before they changed the recipe.

Mmkm beef 2008/10/15 08:28
I've eaten in McD in ten different countries, and they all seem to taste different. A good example is in Ireland they use different beef, Irish beef does not taste remotely like American, and clearly nothing like Kobe. I ate a burger in Shinagawa recently and it definitely seemed a bit off. Then again, I made it a point to eat at First Kitchen thereafter.
