Hakone Hotel Guide

Hakone covers a varied and interesting terrain that includes mountains, valleys, lakes and highlands. Hotels, ryokan and hot springs are distributed all over the area, giving visitors a wide array of options.

The largest concentrations of lodgings can be found in the towns of Yumoto at the entrance to Hakone and Gora around the terminal station of the Hakone Tozan Railway. More hotels and ryokan are found in the valley along the Hakone Tozan Railway, along the shores of Lake Ashinoko and in the highlands of the Sengokuhara area. However, there are surprisingly few lodgings that offer views of Mount Fuji.
