COE processing times

@Rush From what I have heard, it will reopen on next Tuesday (7th May).

3 months have passed since my application for dependent COE. Now that they are into golden week, I wonder how much longer it is going to take. It's going to be even more difficult to wait since with 3 months passing there is no upper cap now. Some of the wait times mentioned on this forum have started freaking me out.

Status: still waiting

The Immigration Services Agency and the Tokyo immigration office both say on their twitter that they're only closed on official holiday days (which means April 29th, May 3rd and May 6th).

So there's still a chance that they will issue COE this week

Please share whoever applied in JAN and got their COE! FOR SSW?

My partner is planning to call the immigration tomorrow, let�fs see what they say.

Hi guys, i want to share my experience about COE.

2022, i went to Japan as an internship student in one of company in Hokkaido. The processing time of COE was about 3 months.

Apply: 16 march 2022
Approved: 23 June 2022

I used website daycounter to count the day from apply until approved. It was 100 days of waiting (include golden weeks)

This time 2024, i will go to Japan again with SSW in the same company and waiting for the COE.

Apply: 30 january 2024
Approved: ?

If i count from my past experience in 2022, it will be approved on 9/10 may 2024. Hopefully it will..

My company checked with the migration agent last week and they say no issue with the application, just need to wait.

Anyone applying at Osaka office have had theirs granted recently? How long it takes to be approved?

Most of us people applied for Coe at Tokyo immigration and Tokyo has alot of regional immigration out there..does every regional immigration has their own Coe processing time?? Or how does the immigration work for coe?Anyone knows...I have applied for Coe at Tokyo immigration but i am not going for city, going for small village gunma so, applying for village Coe come fast or city Coe?I am confused
Any help out to clear the doubt please.

New month, new hope (again)

Still no news for me, I have just reached 3 month of wait

Anyone able to reach the office? My partner tried calling but no answer. Seems like they are off to their holidays.

Their twitter for the Tokyo branches says that they're open, but exceptionally crowded at the moment. Might be too busy to answer the phone

Here's some consideration for those who are still waiting for word on their COE.

Just be PATIENT and WAIT. If immigration was going to deny your COE or need more documents, they usually reach out rather quickly doing so. You have to remember that MANY people are applying with all types of COE requests and it takes time to do them. Sometimes they need to look further into documents more than other people.

If you don't hear anything back, no news is good news in most cases. Just be patient and wait instead of every person keep posting "I've been waiting a long time, when are they gonna give me my COE? Come on, I"ve been waiting a lot, when am I gonna get it?"

What are the twitter tags for the immigration? Tokyo , osaka and such?

Spouse passport,citizenship copy ,monthly salary sheet October and December

Finally almost after 4 months I got my 5 years visa COE please keep patience may be all of you waiting from December will get from next week .
