Fabric stores near Atsugi base

Hi!
I am new to Japan and am trying to locate fabric/craft stores. My husband is stationed at NAF Atsugi, so I'm hoping to find something in the area. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Atsugi base is located in Yamato/Ayase city in Kanagawa Pref. Around that area, there are two big fabric stores. Yuzawaya and Okadaya are the two biggest chain stores specialized in handicraft materials. You can stay all day. Yuzawaya http://www.yuzawaya.co.jp/company/brochure3.html(Yamato branch and Machida branch) Okadaya http://www.okadaya.co.jp/machida/shop.html(Machida branch, all 5 floors are Okadaya) Both HP are only in Japanese, but you can get at least some ideas. Machida is close enough to travel by train. It will take about 10-15min. train ride.
