Are both Curb market and Nijo Market and Rera chitose outlet mall closed during the New Year, 31 Jan 2014? Are the shops in Sapporo usually closed during the New Year Festival? Thanks.

The public markets are usually open on the December 31 and closed over the first few days of January. The Rera outlet mall seems to be open every day of the year, including the entire New Year holidays.
