"Shakuhachi" instrument 2013/5/31 09:45
Hello,
I saw a guy on Japanese TV who made shakuhachi (a bamboo flute instrument I think). I visited quite a nice shop in north west Kyoto who sold bamboo related things. I am going to Tokyo soon and perhaps I can find such a shop in Tokyo which sells "bamboo stuff" or shakuhachi instruments.

It wont have to be too expensive or valuble, would been cool to have a bambooinstrument. I saw they had some kind of bamboo flute on the shop in Kyoto but unsure if it was shakuhachi though..

You can find shakuhachi and fue (bamboo transverse flutes) can be found at music instrument stores. They tend to be expensive with bamboo shinobue starting around 10,000 yen.

If you're lucky you can find them at a flea market for a few thousand yen.
