Re your question #1 --- There is a sumo retirement ceremony taking place at the sumo arena in Tokyo on Oct 6th 2013. Matches for the top 2 divisions will be held (not to be missed!) plus the ceremonial hair-cutting of the retiring wrestler. Various dignitaries cut small sections of the wrestler's hair and then his stable-master cuts the topknot. I have bought tickets from buysumotickets.com and have been very happy with their service. Enjoy your trip!
