Nikko - World Heritage Pass 2013/8/13 13:09
I saw this at Tobu Railway's website. Is this the latest information?

TO OUR VERY IMPORTANT CUSTOMER,

About SUSPEND SALE of WORLD HERITAGE PASS:

Futarasan Shrine, Toshogu Shrine, and Rinno-ji Temple have decided to suspend sale of
a unified admission ticket (2shrines and 1 temple combo ticket) upon 16th of July, 2013.
Accordingly, Tobu Railway Company has discontinued providing WORLD HERITAGE PASS
since 16 of July (departure date based).

We deeply apologize for the inconvenience, and appreciate for your kind understanding.

Yes, the problem is due to Toshogu Shrine and Rinnoji Temple having suspended the 1000 yen combination ticket, which was part of the World Heritage Pass. As of now, it does not look like the two institutions are close to an agreement. So, unless Tobu changes the pass' content, I feel it will take some time until the pass will be sold again.

But this is just my feeling. Maybe a solution can be found faster than I expect.
