Can any one tell what the dress code is in the Tokyo jazz clubs? is it very casual (sneakers) or high heels/ tie?

There're various types of Jazz clubs in Tokyo.

What is the dress code for hip hop clubs/bars in tokyo area? Dress shirt and jeans? dress shoes or sneakers? or t-shirts is ok?

Heidi,
Unless mentioned otherwise by the club, there is no specific dress code for jazz clubs and performances. The audience is usually dressed in various manners.
When I'm not sure about dress codes, I usually wear something like a smart-looking jacket over a t-shirt or a dress that is not too formal (knee-high and semi-tight, or long yet sun-dress etc.)
