I found the information here
http://www.enjoytokyo.jp/shopping/event/671294/

Has anybody ever attend this event before? How is it? Good?
The entrance fee is 200yen, is that include free flow drinks?

many thanks =)

Never been, but the 200 yen entrance fee is just that: an entrance fee. You pay extra for drinks plus the deposit for your glass.

I did go last year, with my mother who used to live in Germany, and I thought it could've been better.

Yokohama holds lots of authentic festivals where you can easily enjoy authentic food in a relaxed atmosphere, and it just wasn't so in my case.

For one, there just were too many people, hense too many noise. It wasn't relaxing at all. Secondly, the food stall queues were long, and the short queues led to nothing special. Oh, the ticket queue was long in the first place.

Sure you could have as much beer as you want for a cheap fee, so if you're just there for the beer that's one thing. But the accessible beers didn't really amaze me.

Occasionally, presenters would invite participants to sing and dance German beer hall style, but by then I was too tired from the heat and noise.

But it's a very touristical area by the sea port and you could walk to nice museums, cafes and shops, cozy for both locals and visitors. So I'd say that if you happen to be in the neighborhood, why not take a peak and see if it's worth your taste. If not, just enjoy something else in the area. But don't bother to travel cross town just for this fest.

Have been to me twice.
Certainly, you also pay deposit fee admission other than, and meals are high, but I enjoyed.
Crowded on holidays and at night, When you enter the room, you can toast with beer to match the performance, or dancing in a circle with everyone, it was fun or take a picture with a person to play.
I think if there is you plan to explore Yokohama, it's also a good stop by.

all, thx a lot for ur inputs!

I've never been to a beer fest or sort of, so I'm just curious about this.. but from the pics I found in Google, I do suspect it will be too crowded n yes, the price does matter to me :D

so instead, could anyone point me a gud (and cheap) place to enjoy a glass or two at night? I prefer somewhere around Shinjuku or Shibuya.. we are two female travelers so I prefer somewhere not too shady ^^

many thanks =)
