I here you have to be 20 to buy a SIM card in Japan? I wanted to buy a SIM card or rent one for my phone when I'm over there?

I don't think you need to be over 20, but you may need a credit card to rent a sim card. What exactly are your needs? Data, voice, both? Prepaid or rental?
