Is there a main strip of bars/clubs/izakayas in the shibuya/shinjuku/roppongi area or are they all spread out?

Most of them are pretty spread out, but I believe there are some together in Osaka on a street called Dotombori. I's filled with many small bars and restaurants, make sure to try out their specialty takoyaki too! (battered octopus)

I don't know Roppongi very well, but check out the area around Centagai in Shibuya. There are all over the place around Shinjuku but some of the more concentrated places are Kabuchicho, Goldengai, and Omoideyokocho. You can see those districts on this page: http://www.japan-guide.com/e/e3011.html

The clubs in Shibuya are mostly concentrated in Maruyama-Cho. Pretty much all the bigs ones are there, mostly along the main strip but the most famous club--WOMB--is hidden behind it amongst a bunch of love hotels. Other popular clubs there include Club Asia, Atom, Lounge Neo, and many others. For smaller clubs and bars, Udagawa-Cho/the end of Center Gai also has a bunch although they may seem hidden or tucked away randomly. Some of the more popular clubs there are R Lounge (formerly known as Rockwest) and Module, both of which are some of the longest-running clubs in Tokyo that still exit. R-Lounge is one of the only clubs that does afterhours parties pretty much every weekend.
