Flowing Somen 2013/11/1 23:48
Hi all,

I will be flying to Japan in less than a week time (Tokyo, Hakone, Takayama and Osaka).

I had heard about the flowing somen for so many times, and will like to give it a try.

I am wondering if it is still available at this period of the year since flowing somen seems to be a summer festival food.

Can any kind soul actually provide the address of the place that provides the flowing somen?

Thank you very much.!

Best regards,
YH

Unfortunately, Flowing Somen are ends in October.
Not exactly true, but seems to be in Oshiage store coming Soba(buckwheat) carried aboard the ship.

Here in Kagoshima, some places serve flowing somen (Somen Nagashi) throughout the year. Of course, it is a kind of summer food, therefore in winter they are not so crowded :).

In fact, there are three big restaurants in Tosenkyo. But most people do not mind where they enter in :).

Closer to Kagoshima-chuo is a Nagashi somen restaurant Hanamizuki.
