What kind of sport is that?

A few days a go, I watched "The Wolverine" movie. In it, the Japanese practiced their fighting skill by holding sticks wearing in a black suit. I wish to know what that kind of sport is n how to play. If u know, pls share me..

It wasn't exactly kendo that was shown in the wolverine movie, but they were using kendo gear. Yes, girls do kendo. You can read more about the sport here:

Is Kendo is costful to play???

The equipment is relatively expensive. Other than that its probably very comparable in cost to practicing martial arts.
