Around the dial, top right is "high," where it's pointing to now is "medium/normal" and bottom left is "low" [strength of refrigeration]. The phrase at the bottom is "refrigerator compartment temperature control."
The second photo is the "freezer compartment temperature control." From the left, it says "low [weak], "medium/normal", and "high [strong] (winter)."
