At some restaurants you can ask for your dish in an Omori (large) size for a small surcharge of a few hundred yen. It varies from place to place, but it's often about a 1.5 servings.

thanks for the reply "yllwsmrf ". appreciate it much.
but, on a daiy basis, i usually have my lunch here in our cafeteria/canteen at the office which doesn't serve large dishes/serving.
its like 1cup or 1bowl of noddle per serving but can add for an additional half.
so that's my problem there, how to say 1&1/2 (udon/rice) in japanese...
Thanks again

Maybe, but I think in the lead 1 & 1/2 = ippai han(一杯半). It is a word that has been omitted. To ippai to hanbun(一杯と半分,full & half).

If they don't serve Oomori(large size), maybe it's called "ko-udon"(small udon) and "han-raisu"(half rice), I think? And maybe they can understand "wan, ando haafu"(one, and half).
By the way, "an additional half" is not usual, interesting. So sorry, no right word/phrase hit me.(x_x; Or when you finished a cup, "okawari, sukuname de onegaishimasu"(another cup, little please) is usual phrase though.

Ata ramen shop, "kaedama" is ordered to replenish the noodle for 100 or 150yen extra. It can be(not common, though) used for udon noodles but not rice as "tama" means a ball to refer to the noodle in basket coming out of hot water. As for rice, just say "okawari".

I agree with lostintranslation. The system at OP's canteen seems to be quite unique (unless it's a kaedama) and I'm sure there's a word for it. Otherwise, "one and a half" in Japanese is "ikko-han" or "hitotsu-han."
Actually though, I would usually point out, gesture or draw pictures of what I need rather than look for words. However, in the OP's case, I would just say "udon" as I write down the universal language;
1 + 1/2
