Jiyugaoka - festival and night scene

Last year I visited Jiyûgaoka for the first time with a friend - I believe we went during the Marie Claire festival.
The festival and town was really nice and had a great atmosphere, and I will be in Tokyo from 26th - 4th October and wonder if there are any festivals on during this time? Also is there much nightlife in the area (bars or a nightclub maybe)

Jiyugaoka always tried to keep its reputation as a toned down semi-high-class residential area, so there aren't real nightclub dancing scene or such. However, you will find lots of cozy bars and cafes especially along the road one further from the station compared to Marie Clair, and also on the western side of the station but further into the narrower streets. http://www.jiyugaoka-abc.com.e.mb.hp.transer.com/
