Budget for food 2014/8/28 22:58
Some years ago when I went to Japan, there were vending machines which one can choose a simple meal of about 500Yen, slot in the money to get a little ticket, pass it to the stall and would receive the food.
May I ask if a simple meal at the train station is about 500Yen?
Is the price of a simple dinner without drink starts from 800Yen?
Thank you.

I would say both start from around 300-500 yen.

Matsuya regular beef bowl is around 300-500 Yen, I forgot exact price but it's definitely less than 500 Yen.
