It's too short to get at the exact meaning though.

umm, but together, how it would be the phrase? It's necessary in a bad manner? like "so what" that it sounds kinda like I don't care' and I know it's not like that. It's a response to someone saying something like 'you know that'

Also it can be impolite, it's depending on the expression.
だったら何だった is not common phrase but young people often say だから何だよ meaning "so what" or "nonsense". In this case, the past tense だった sounds emphasizing something.

It's something like "If so, what difference would it have made?" If this is said in a mild tone, it can sound un-rude. Depending on the tone, it could sound like "So WHAT?".
