I have one kokeshi with note: "ichiban hoshi" /in kanji/ and number: 6129. Somebody can explain me what it's mean? Is it old kokeshi? Number is registration number? I will be very happy if I know it.

When I visited the Kokeshi making factory on Mt. Haruna in Gunma, often the dolls were stamped with the name of that particular type/line of doll. Maybe the number is a count of how many were made if it is limited edition?
If there is a way you can post a picture of the doll and the writing, maybe someone can identify it with more certainty! I know the kokeshi at Haruna are very distinctive, and regional styles can be distinctive as well, so we can tell more by seeing it sometimes.
