Where to buy canned/pureed pumpkin in Tokyo? 2014/10/16 09:15
Hi! I'm looking to make a typical american pumpkin pie for my friend (she desperately misses pumpkin pie) so I'm looking for a place in Tokyo where I can buy canned pumpkin. I know ordering online is an option but I'd rather not have to pay for shipping in addition to my pumpkin.
I also know I can use kabocha, but I would rather not because the taste and texture is slightly different.

So, does anyone know where to get canned pumpkin?

Thank you!

I would try National Azabu and Nissin first.

No, they are different in both taste and texture. I would generalize kabocha to be starchier and more potato-like while American pumpkins are more like a squash.
