Lost camera in Shibuya 2014/11/17 00:46
Hi, I lost camera on Sunday evening/night at Shibuya district, but I dont know where exactly and I need guide how to find it, please read it whole and please try to help.
I was in Omotesando Coffee (last place where I remember taking photos - of that place when I was leaving it, so it is not definitelly there). Then I went to Shokurakuen for small souvenirs, then The Roasters by Noza for coffee (where I have might be taking photos, but I called there and they said no lost camera there). Afterwards Uniqlo at shibuya where I might drop it too. And when I was traveling by metro to hotel, I found my camera case empty).
What I will do: go to ask in Shokurakuen, The Roasters, Uniqlo, metro lost and found headquaters, police lodt and found headquaters.
Any other places which I should check? Maybe local Shibuya police (koban)? I am leaving on Thursday so I am scared it wont be relocated to police lost headquaters until then.

If you have any idea what could I do next I would be really glad.

Definitely check the cafes/stores you visited first, if they don't have it then go to the police.

what are you sitting around waiting for? go! (and good luck)

edgee007,

I think you've got everything covered. But if it so happens that you ask them and they said there is no record of it, then wait a couple of days and ask again, especially to the police.

When someone finds a lost items, the person will surrender it to a shop clerk or koban, but it takes a while until the record becomes viewable to all those concerned. And then after certain days have passed, all lost items will be collected to a bigger point.

So, ask in a couple of days, and if you can't find it, ask what the system is (when and where it will be collected to) and then ask accordingly.

By doing this, I just found an earing I dropped. I hope you're lucky as I am.

The Metropolitan Police Department lost property website doesn't show any camera found in Shibuya.
I think it's easy to visit any of police station(not Koban) and ask police officers that you lost camera in Shibuya. They will search it from the lost property list. No need to visit Shibuya Police Station(You can do so if you want). All lost and found properties are registered in lost and found property center.
