What exactly do you mean by "clan"? Are you referring to some group in an online game or something?

I think that's what the OP is trying to say. But the question arises as to what will happen if they say "yes". How will you communicate with them.
I'm pretty sure most people who play games online have a basic understanding of the English language and would definitely understand, "I would like to join your clan." Why not give that a try. If you ask in proper Japanese, they may think you're able to understand the language and all sorts of problems and misunderstandings may ensue.
