Finding an Enka CD 2014/12/1 16:50
I want to buy this CD of:

Enka Hideo Murata vs. Fuyumi Sakamoto (https://itunes.apple.com/jp/album/enka-hideo-murata-vs.-fuyumi/id72045...)

I searched on Amazon.jp but it there was only a used copy and the seller didn't want to sell overseas.

I'm going to live in Tokyo for a year, starting in 2015 do I have to search for it in 2nd hand stores (like Book-off or search online on Yahoo Auctions) or can I find it in places like Tower Records/Kinokuniya?

Please don't suggest downloading the songs since it's for my father and he wants the physical CD.

Thank you!

If he wants a physical CD, why not download the songs from iTunes and burn it to one?

If it is still in print most music stores would be able to order it for you. If not, you'll have to search for it at 2nd hand shops.

He wants the original CD itself with booklet and so on.

He used to live in Tokyo for a few years and used that song for his Japan videos and lost the CD.

nostalgic reasons...

Being a sentimental person myself, I suppose I can understand that.

In any case, good luck with your search. Judging from the seller's price for a rental copy I'm guessing that it's out of print and may be quite difficult to find. You should keep checking Amazon though; perhaps other sellers will emerge while you're there.

On the second floor of the Nakano Broadway also there is a store of Enka and kayou-kyoku.

When it is used, there is a showa kayou-kan to disc union.

@haro2010
Thanks, that is definitely helpful!

@Mzi
That was the version I was talking about in my original post. 7800 yen is pretty expensive.

This place may have it.

http://tsite.jp/daikanyama/store-service/tsite-en.html

Amazon says 1989. For a CD that's really quite old.

There are plenty of Japanese ebayers and proxy buying services that will buy stuff for you and ship it for a small fee.

Example: http://pop-onepiece.blogspot.jp/p/proxy-service.html

You can register a 'want' on ebay and it will e-mail you if it comes up. Register the title and any serial numbers.

Good luck.
