Christmas tree print on a nengajo?

Hello everyone! I have a nengajo-related question, though it may be a bit silly, but I'm a perfectionist...
I want to send a nengajo to my friend in Japan in response to the one she sent me (though we're both a bit late), but I chose a card with a Christmas tree print on the front side. Is this ok, since they don't decorate a pine tree when celebrating New Year like we Europeans do? I just don't want to leave a bad impression. xD
Thanks!

why would it be bad?
it'll be nice and interesting to learn about other country New Year's tradition.

No problem, but what you have sounds more like a Christmas card rather than nengajo, which would also be fine as your friend would probably enjoy the cultural exchange.
